Description:  Over the semester, this project was split into several assignments. The overall goal was to use my apartment to learn AutoCAD and Revit. The first part of this project was to measure my apartment, sketch out the floor plan, and then transfer that information to AutoCAD. Once the walls were drawn, I added dimensions and added it to a title sheet. The second part was to select four non-trivial items and make them into blocks in AutoCAD. I had to photograph, sketch, and measure each item before I drew it in CAD. The four items I chose were a Keurig, a remote, an apple cutter, and a lamp shade. Finally, the last part of the assignment was to transfer the file to Revit. In Revit, I added floors, ceilings, walls, windows, doors, and casework.
